Disney On Ice: Spotlight Magic! Bronx Theatre reviews
Incredible
This is the 4th time I've seen Disney On Ice and he still amazes me. Unfortunately, he didn't switch up the setlist as much as I'd prefer, but I believe any dedicated fan like myself would want to see more Wings songs from him. Which, I don't mind, but it would be great to see him perform some of his hits with Wings too. Since he resumed touring in '02, he has only played 2 out of his 9 stateside #1 hits and hardly any of his top 10 hits. It's remarkable! It's funny that he's the only artist I know who doesn't perform his #1 hits. He seems to have forgotten that he released other albums besides Band on the Run. With all the setlist complaints aside, I adore this man and I'll catch him every time he's in town. I thought he sounded fantastic, and he delivers the best show in the industry. This may be because he has the best songs in the industry.
STYX ROCKS....
STYX was very good, loved their stuff. They put on a great show 20 some years after I saw them the first time. They still performed like they were back in the 1980's; by far the star of the show. I heard everything I wanted to hear and more. I wish they would have performed "Lady" but they hit every other song plus the Beatle's. Disney On Ice was a bit of a disappointment, after the ROCK that Styx put out, it just didn't follow up well. Great time was had by all. I would definitely go see them all over again.
I will NEVER go back!
"I despised this year's event, my second year attending and it will be my last. Not only was it the rain, but also the fans that ruined it for me. Everyone was drinking, and I even suspected minors were partaking. I had reserved seating in ROW 1, right in front of the stage. However, once inside, my ticket got wet and when I got up for a drink, my seat was taken. Security couldn't help me retrieve my seat due to the wet and smudged ticket, and the drunken occupants refused to move.
The worst part was the scheduling. Halfway to Hazard was supposed to perform last, which was the main reason I came. However, they ended up performing after all the other acts, even after the fireworks. I had to leave right after the fireworks ended, as I had parked far away and a policeman offered to escort me out if I left immediately. So I left, feeling highly disappointed and now sick from the rain and cold.
Next year, they should consider providing a tent for the paying fans who endured these conditions."
Magical Symphony Experience
"I attended this event for my husband's birthday. A huge HP fan, I couldn't skip the chance to see the film with a live orchestra. I loved it! While watching the film, the conductor urged the audience to join in, resulting in many cheers and hisses as our beloved characters or foes appeared on screen. I had to frequently remind myself to focus on the orchestra rather than the film, as that was the main reason for my attendance. My husband, however, found it distracting and opted to watch the film throughout, missing the essence of attending a symphony.
I recommend this event, but advise paying attention to the orchestra to avoid feeling like you've simply paid $$ for a Disney On Ice show."
